Claire Bianchi est née en 1963 à Cherbourg.
Formée au métier de graphiste et illustratrice à l’Ecole Estienne à Paris, elle s’établit en 1993 à Saint-Mammès, sur les rives de la Seine et du Loing où elle travaille aujourd’hui, se consacrant entièrement à la peinture à l’huile.
Elle pratique une peinture expressionniste et gestuelle inspirée de son lieu et de ses nombreux voyages s’appuyant sur une incessante observation de la nature, un travail de mémoire et de retranscription empreint des sentiments éprouvés de la couleur et de la lumière. Profondeur, surface, verticalité la conduisent peu à peu à élargir ses formats et questionner avec pertinence la création d’une surface picturale à la fois frontale et transparente.
Dès les années 2000, elle expose très régulièrement son travail lors d’expositions personnelles ou collectives, en France et à l’étranger.

Trained as a graphic artist and illustrator at the Ecole Estienne in Paris, in 1993 she moved to Saint Mammès, a village at the confluence of the Seine and Loing rivers where she still lives and works, dedicates herself entirely oil painting.
She paints with an expressive and vigorous style, inspired by her surroundings and her extensive travels, concentrating on a keen observation of nature and on memory, while working with a heightened sensitivity to colour and light. Consideration of depth, surface and vertical space have inspired her to gradually expand her format and create a pictoral surface that is both frontal and transparent.
For well over a decade, she has regularly shown her work in personal and group exhibitions in France and abroad.
